Prairie Dog Towns at Harlan

There are many prairie dog towns on public and private land throughout Harlan County, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers maintains a family-friendly viewing site with educational signage on Corps Road A between Republican City and the Harlan County Dam.  Another public viewing site is located just off Corps Road B between Alma and the entrance to Methodist Cove.  Hunting is not allowed on these sites.
